After their highly talked about clash five years ago,
Gary Anderson has his revenge in 2023 after sealing his spot in the Quarter-Finals of the
Grand Slam of Darts defeating Gerwyn Price on Wednesday night in Wolverhampton.
Anderson averaged 105 in a stunning 10-6 victory, hitting six 180's as he showed that 'The Flying Scotsman' vintage is very much still in the locker on the big stage as he has been showing on the ProTour all year.

Price reduced the deficit at the break to 3-2, but Anderson on returned edged ahead again. He hit an 81 checkout for 4-3 and then went 6-4 up at the next interval.
His lead then went to 8-4 with a break on double two followed by a hold, before Price tried for his last resolve. He hit back-to-back legs including a break at 6-8 down.
But the crucial moments followed as Price missed two darts at double 20 and Anderson hit 81 to go within a leg at 9-6. A leg he secured at 10-6 pinning double six last dart in hand with Price waiting to pounce.
Gary Anderson has spent the year saying that he wants to just play darts and prove people wrong and he is certainly doing that as he heads into his favourite time of the year results wise and the Quarter-Finals of his favourite tournament. What price for him to add an elusive piece of his collection? Well he is into the Quarter-Finals so that is one box firmly ticked.
