Beau Greaves and
Robyn Byrne are the first two semi-finalists at the Women's World Matchplay 2023 in Blackpool. They will take on each other in the last four later on Sunday.
Greaves quite easily disposed of debutant Noa-Lynn van Leuven, who had two chances to get on the scoreboard. After Greaves took the first leg with a 16-darter, the 19-year-old missed seven darts in the second. That gave Van Leuven two chances for a leg, but they were not taken. Greaves then still found the double and ran out to a 4-0 victory.
The second quarterfinal was exciting though. Byrne took the lead twice early in the match against Rhian O'Sullivan, but a 12-darter made it 2-3 for the Welsh player. However, with a 17-darter and a 95 finish, the win then went to Byrne after all.
They sit in the opposite half of the draw to the current ongoing Quarter-Final with Aileen de Graaf - Mikuru Suzuki and Fallon Sherrock - Lisa Ashton with Greaves favourite to reach the final out of the top half.
