The second edition of the Women's World Matchplay is scheduled for Sunday, July 23. The top eight players of the PDC Women's Series get to share a prize pool of £25,000.
The eight contestants are all guaranteed £1250 in prize money. A win in the quarter-finals doubles that amount to £2,500. The losing finalist goes home with £5000. For the first winner of the Women's World Matchplay, a cheque of £10,000 pounds awaits.
The biggest favorite for the overall victory is 19-year-old Englishwoman Beau Greaves. She faces competition from defending champion Fallon Sherrock, four-time world champion Lisa Ashton and two-time women's world champion Mikuru Suzuki, among others. The other competitors are Robyn Byrne, Rhian O'Sullivan, Aileen de Graaf and Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
