Daryl Gurney held his nerve in the end to claim victory over Jelle Klaasen in a last leg decider to reach the UK Open semi-finals.
Gurney hit eight 180's en route as his fight continues with him coming through three last-leg deciders this weekend, can 'Superchin' go all the way later?
Klaasen made a great start to proceedings going into the first break at 3-2 up with a 100 checkout allowing him to break throw and gain the early advantage.
He continued to look strong and made it 5-3 from there after Gurney missed a chance to break for a 112 checkout and he took out 108.
Gurney finished 81 to peg it back to 5-4 behind but Klaasen showed no signs of a slump as he retained his lead to a two leg cushion with a 97 average and 6/9 on the doubles.
He did though when they returned as Gurney claimed a potentially pivotal break to get back on level terms at 6-6. 'Superchin' hit the front from there at 7-6 up to dispel Klaasen's winning position.
Klaasen levelled up at 7-7 but he missed darts to break and Gurney kept his advantage at 8-7. The former hit a 90 checkout on the bull for 8-8.
Gurney went one away though but Klaasen held throw on double 10 to send it all the way at 9-9. Gurney messed around in the final leg despite dazzling with a brilliant 180 but he finally sealed the deal on double four to move through.
