Hamilton wins final PDC Challenge Tour tournament of the season, first PDC title since 2014

Andy Hamilton has sealed his first PDC title since 2014 with victory in the final event of the Challenge Tour season, Event 24 at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.

Hamilton's last title was a UK Open Qualifier which stopped a seven year wait at the time and it is eight years this time albeit in a tournament in which the overall winners this season had already been decided.

Those being Scott Williams winning the Challenge Tour and the spot at the Grand Slam of Darts with Robert Owen set for a return to the PDC Tour. Danny van Trijp will step up for the first time and will like Owen play at the Alexandra Palace for the first time this Christmas.
