After recent speculation of an exhibition match between Luke Littler and Phil Taylor, Bobby George has weighed in and said he'd get 'slaughtered' and it would be 'embarrassing' to see 'The Power' put himself through it.
Target released a video teasing a clash between the pair that could take place and given Taylor bowed out of the World Seniors with a whimper not winning any titles and having had surgery, many have raised their doubts.
Especially given the current place that Littler is in where he is one of the best players in the world and is cleaning up titles for fun as Taylor did during his heyday.
“Look, he [Taylor] was a great player, you have your day," said George on talkBULL.
“[But] you get to a certain age in your life in your sport, everyone has it, and your body doesn't allow you to play as you used to.
“If he played Littler now he’d get slaughtered, it'd be most embarrassing.”
'The King of Bling' continued that Littler would've won had they played in their respective heydays and that Littler has tools Taylor doesn't possess.
"Taylor was a great player, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he would have beaten Littler, even in his hey day, because his scoring power is so good, his finishing is unbelievable.
“The only way he could probably have a chance of beating him is to take the double 10 off the bull, because that's what you can hit every time.
“He's got double 10 or double top, bang, straight in.
“Taylor was a great player but not as good as Littler. That's my opinion, mind you.”
Vincent van der Voort chimed in similarly recently about the match on his podcast Darts Draait Door. "I don't think so," says Van der Voort. "You don't want to see Taylor humiliated, do you?"
For the first time ever.
