On November 4 and 5, the last two Players Championship tournaments of the year will be played. Afterwards it will be clear which players qualify for the
World Darts Championship via the Pro Tour.
Florian Hempel, one of last year's surprises at the World Darts Championships, still has a long way to go to qualify for the Alexandra Palace.
Then it will be decided who will qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship via the Pro Tour. Currently, 4,000 pounds separate the German from qualification.
"The gap is big, but nothing is impossible. I'm preparing as well as I can, but this year is really a bit of a mess,'' Hempel said honestly on DAZN. ''If I play really well once, my opponent plays better and if I have a chance because my opponent doesn't show his A-game once, I don't manage to play well myself.''
After the Pro Tour tournaments, the season is not over yet for Hempel. ''On Nov. 6 there is another qualifying tournament for the Grand Slam of Darts and then there is the Super League,'' Hempel alludes to the World Championship qualifying tournament for German players.
