Stephen Bunting has been consistently throwing some top-quality darts in recent months. Given this fact, 'the Bullet' is considered by many a dark horse for victory at the upcoming Grand Slam of Darts.
One of these high-profile backers, is former three-time Lakeside champion, Glen Durrant. "I think he's playing the best darts of his life," says 'Duzza' to Sky Sports, crediting Bunting's switch of arrows with the rise in his performance levels. "He's gone up from 12 grams to 18 grams. His old darts were unique, no one else threw such light darts."
Although Bunting is a four-time major semi-finalist in the PDC, the former Lakeside champion has never managed to reach a big final. This may not remain the case much longer though according to Durrant.
"He just looks really good and I think he's knocking on the door of something big. He's gone from that jovial character to a real contender now and like I said I think he's knocking on the door, he's a name to watch."
