Dave Chisnall did not have it all his own way against Danny Noppert in the last sixteen of the Masters on Saturday. Still, the 43-year-old Englishman eventually won through, 10-8.
Chisnall averaged over 109 in the first round, but was slightly lower at 97.59 against Noppert. "You're not going to get two games like that back to back," the two-time Masters finalist assesses honestly in his post-match press conference.
Playing in the afternoon, straight after the night before also ensured difficulties for 'Chizzy'. "I got up at 8 am this morning. I'm tired. Give me nighttime games all the time," he explains. "Just got to go to bed early now, be sensible, get some sleep and it could be a long tomorrow (Sunday ed.). At least, that's my goal."
Chisnall will take on Michael van Gerwen in the quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon. "I don't care who I play. Michael has had a great year, he's playing very well so it should be a great game!"
