Damon Heta has shown that his run to win the Brisbane Darts Masters was no fluke with another win over James Wade.
He smashed ‘The Machine’ in a 6-1 win to continue his brilliant run of form this time at the Melbourne Darts Masters.
‘The Heat’ turned it on against Wade with a 99.6 average, five 180’s and 6/8 on the doubles as he hunts a double triumph on the
World Series.
Peter Wright on the other hand edged out Corey Cadby in a low quality affair in a match that had big billing beforehand.
The defending champion in Melbourne averaged 82 to Cadby’s 83 as both players didn’t perform at all to their capabilities.
Wright started well going 3-0 up with a magical 142 checkout but when he changed his darts, Cadby closed the gap but ‘Snakebite’ always kept himself at arms length.
Wright went 5-2 up but Cadby made it 5-4 adrift. ‘Snakebite’ though finished the deal to win 6-4 and move through to the Quarter-Finals.
