Australia captured the
World Cup of Darts for the first time in history on Sunday night in Frankfurt.
Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock defeated Wales 3-1 in the final.
Heta provided two of the three Australian points in the final by winning against both Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
βSimon dragged me through the beginning,β admitted Heta, who defeated three of the worldβs top eight on Sunday evening.
βIβm stoked for Simon and stoked for Australia with all the support weβve had back home.
βEverything we are sacrificing being here and weβve got the title in the bag. Itβs an amazing feeling.β
