At the start of today in Leicester, Thibault Tricole sealed his maiden PDC Challenge Tour title and he has been joined in the winners' circle by his compatriot Jacques Labre who has sealed Event 22 in a historic day for French darts.
Labre who recently sealed the WDF Europe Cup singles title defeated Lee Evans in the final after taking out Robert Owen who put himself in a superb position to keep hold of one of two spots for the Tour Card and World Championship sitting ahead of Danny van Trijp by £500 going into the final day.
Players can earn reserve spots for the Pro Tour 2022 and Tour Cards for 2023 and 2024 on the Challenge Tour. The highest ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for the reserve spots at the Players Championships.
The top two on the Challenge Tour ranking at the end of the season are offered a PDC Tour Card for the following two seasons. In addition, they are also allowed to participate in the PDC World Darts Championship.
