Raymond van Barneveld, Keegan Brown and Jonny Clayton are the latest trio through to the second round to face the top seeds at the World Series of Darts Finals.

Van Barneveld in front of his home crowd dazzled against Jeff Smith who was superb in New York, but struggled tonight in Amsterdam. He averaged only 78.8, with the legendary Dutchman only needing an average of 84.5 to move through 6-2.

While Clayton in his first TV appearance since the World Matchplay after skipping Australia and New Zealand saw off Martin Schindler in a tough opener on paper. But he was utterly clinical on doubles hitting 6/8 taking it 6-3.

Keegan Brown also was superb as 'The Needle' wrapped up a 6-1 win over Simon Whitlock with utter ease. He will face off against Gerwyn Price now in the second round. The opening night in Amsterdam is heading towards the close.
