Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens booked their place in the second round at the World Cup of Darts after seeing off Canada in what was billed to be one of the toughest first round encounters.
But the Germany pairing rose to the challenge and Hopp spoke afterwards about playing in front of a home crowd and the effect of that.
"I think you could clearly see that I showed some nerves in this game but I'm so glad Gabriel (Clemens) had the power scores to keep us in the game," said Hopp on Sky Sports.
"In front of this entertaining crowd, it's very difficult to play but we just love it and we're happy to be through."
