Max Hopp has retained his PDC Tour Card for the 2022 season after Raymond Smith lost out to Mervyn King in the Last 16 of the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship.
After not qualifying for the tournament, Hopp faced a nervous wait with multiple different scenarios potentially set to see him lose his Tour Card.
This wasn't made any easier as he was commentating on the game for DAZN in Germany alongside commentator and European Tour MC, Elmar Paulke.
But when King crossed the line, it panned to Hopp in the commentary booth who clenched his fist in celebration. No Q-School for 'The Maximiser'.
