Huge disappointment for Schindler after World Darts Championship elimination: "Pain, disappointment and sadness"

Martin Schindler lost in the first round of the World Darts Championship to his compatriot Florian Hempel, who has now advanced to the third round with a win over Dimitri van den Bergh.

The loss has taken its toll on the 25-year-old German. "Pain, sadness and disappointment are probably the best words to describe my emotional state of mind when I think back to the World Darts Championship. Of course I wanted more. I wanted to reward myself, because I did a good job of revenging myself for losing my Tour Card after last season.''

''Florian did the right things at the right times and unfortunately I couldn't show what I can do. I have to remain patient and wait for my chances, deal with the pain and try to come back stronger'', Schindler said.
