Hughes claims back-to-back wins to begin PDC Home Tour Group 24
Jamie Hughes tops PDC Home Tour Group 24 and is one away from securing the group but this was only after the schedule was changed due to technical difficulties.
This was due to Darius Labanauskas who was set to face him second game on having technical difficulties - but it wasn't WiFi trouble like what previously plagued Keegan Brown.
It was that 'Lucky D' couldn't locate the DartConnect website this meant that Krzysztof Ratajski off the back of a win over Toni Alcinas to begin the night where he had to come from 3-1 down to see off the Spaniard 5-3 had to play twice in a row and Hughes's first opponent was hence changed.
'Yozza' saw off 'The Polish Eagle' 5-2 as a result averaging 96.5 and then Labanauskas got his difficulties sorted only for Hughes to continue his brilliance in a repeat scoreline to go top of the group.
This means that shortly, he will face off against Toni Alcinas with the group potentially sewn up before the final game.
Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner.
All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
In addition all live-scores can be followed on DartConnect; with match statistics being available after every match.
