Hughes parts company with MDA Promotions after long-term agreement

Jamie Hughes has parted company with his long-time management company, MDA Promotions which he has been with since switching to the PDC.
"MDA and Jamie Hughes have mutually agreed to part company with immediate effect," the statement read.
"Jamie has been with the MDA stable since 2018, where he moved over from the BDO after a successful decade with the organisation."

As part of their partnership, Hughes winning the Czech Darts Open in 2019 as well as playing at the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and World Championship.
"We part on good terms, and we remain firm friends and supporters of Jamie. He will continue to work with us in our various exhibitions up and down the country. We wish Jamie all the best for the future," the statement continues.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
