Jamie Hughes made an unbelievable mistake on Saturday when he went for a nine-dart finish in his match against Alan Soutar in the fifth Players Championship tournament.
Hughes had started the sixth leg with a 180 and 177, leaving 144 after six darts. The seventh dart also landed in the treble 20. But instead of throwing another dart in the treble 20, Yozza miscalculated and threw his eighth arrow in the triple 19.
Unfortunately, 27 was not able to be pinned with one dart, so despite eight trebles in a row, he could not throw for a nine-dart finish.
