Humphries after comprehensive Cross defeat: "I felt really good, they just weren't dropping in"

Luke Humphries lost out in the final of Players Championship 24 in a comprehensive 8-3 defeat to Rob Cross who he has often got the better of this season.

Humphries couldn't seal a sixth title of the year and said that Cross deserved to add one and that it just very much wasn't his day in the end.

“Credit to Rob, he deserves a title with the way he’s been playing this year,” said Humphries.

“In the quarter-finals and semi-finals today I pulled it out of the bag, I played really well, and I felt really good in the final, they just weren’t dropping in.”
