Humphries on effect of weight loss: "Losing a bit of weight is a healthy life and a healthy mind, I feel really good"

Luke Humphries reached the final of the UK Open this past weekend and it has been duly noted about his weight loss and lifestyle changes.

It seemed to work for Humphries and he put it down to wanting the extra stamina for long days such as at the UK Open.

"Everyone thinks being a dart player is easy, it's not. You have to put a lot of hard work in and for me, I thought losing a bit of weight and gaining a bit of extra stamina is going to be extra and it's going to take me further," said Humphries post match during the UK Open.

"Losing a bit of weight is a healthy life and a healthy mind. I feel really good, I feel full of energy. The hard work that I've putting in through lockdown is helping me in that aspect and hopefully it carries me through to being a better player in the future."
