Wade sets sights on second World Matchplay triumph after UK Open win: “It’s been bugging me for many years”

James Wade has claimed a third triumph at the UK Open this past weekend but there is another title ‘The Machine’ is after going forward.

That is the World Matchplay with Wade’s sole triumph coming back in 2007 and this is due to it being ‘special’ to the Aldershot ace.

"I'm not done yet. One that's eating away at me is the World Matchplay," said Wade.

"It's been bugging me for many, many years now.

"I want to win that one again because it's something special to me, so I want to do the business in Blackpool this year.

"In general, I'm just going to keep going. I want to make a difference in the darts world and if I can still do that then I'll still be here."
