Humphries pleased with crowd support after World Matchplay exit: "Moments I'll never forget"

Luke Humphries lost out in the second round at the 2021 World Matchplay against Krzysztof Ratajski as his hopes of reaching another major Quarter-Final were ended.

Humphries though had the crowd on his side throughout his tie with Ratajski which did evoke criticism for booing and whistling when he was throwing for doubles.

But 'Cool Hand Luke' posted a message on Twitter after the defeat to thank the fans for their support.

"Didn’t get the result tonight, doubles wasn’t up to scratch but I enjoyed that so much! No crowd for 16 months and to have them supporting me like they did was incredible!! moments I’ll never forget! Can’t wait for the next major," he said.
