Humphries remains on course for fourth European Tour title, set to face White in Quarter-Finals

Luke Humphries remains on course for yet another European Tour title this weekend at the European Darts Matchplay in Trier as he faces the only other previous winner in the field in Ian White in the Quarter-Finals later.

Humphries ended home hopes again by seeing off Host Nation Qualifier, Lukas Wenig in a 6-2 win, averaging 97 with five 180's en route for 'Cool Hand Luke' with the German unable to reproduce the heroics that saw him defeat Chris Dobey in some style.

While Jeffrey de Zwaan couldn't reproduce his performance from yesterday either as he fell to White who himself will be harbouring hopes of returning to the winners' circle which could see him return to the World Matchplay.

He dazzled against 'The Black Cobra' closing out a 6-3 win with three 180's and a 149 checkout along the way and they will now face off this evening.
