Kim Huybrechts produced a really impressive display as 'The Hurricane' blew away Danny Noppert in a 4-2 sets victory to win through to the Last 16 at the 2020 PDC World Championship.
Huybrechts hit four 180's and had a finishing percentage of 58 percent with high checkouts of 150 and 109 en route as the Belgian really threw himself firmly into the mix at the Alexandra Palace.
Noppert in the first set did not miss a dart at double as he claimed the first set with ease 3-1 with what was a brilliant 97 average.
He went 2-1 up in the second set taking a break of throw with a 93 checkout but Huybrechts forced a deciding leg which he took to end a magnificent set where he averaged 112 to restore parity 1-1 in sets.
Huybrechts started the next leg with a 109 checkout to break throw to start the next set. Noppert though broke back immediately with a 76 checkout.
Noppert took out 74 from there to regain the momentum and he took out double seven to claim the set and go 2-1 up.
Huybrechts began the next set with a 180 and 85 checkout to go 1-0 up and hold throw. From there though, he put it back on level terms sealing it 3-1; with a 97.4 average and 57 percent on doubles as it looked like it was going all the way.
It was advantage to the Belgian despite that as 'The Hurricane' breezed through the next set; with 53 percent on the doubles to go one away from victory and he held throw on 64 to do so.
He doubled his lead and finished the win off with a flourish smashing in a 150 checkout; which saw him bounce around the stage in typical Huybrechts fashion.
