The biggest sensation in darts at the moment,
Luke Littler caught the attention of the sporting world for his efforts at the PDC World Darts Championships, making it all the way to the final before losing out to Luke Humphries.
One of the chants sung to Littler by the Ally Pally crowd during the last few weeks was, 'He's got school in the morning!" Although doesn't in fact have school anymore, having dropped out to commit full-time to his darting career, the sport and his school work have often gone hand in hand.
"I was terrible at maths myself," Littler reveals to BBC Sport. "But it's just the longer you practice, the quicker you get to know checkouts, scoring and finishing up and laying up your shots. The more you play, the more you get used to it."
Littler's board management and the speed at which he calculated things was a standout during his performances at the
World Darts Championship and to test the 16-year-old, BBC Sport quizzed him with a few checkout questions. As you would expect, Littler reeled off each one without any difficulty.
