Beau Greaves has confirmed that she will take up a PDC Tour Card if she succeeds in either the Development Tour or Challenge Tour and is currently leaning towards Ally Pally over Lakeside in regards to her World Championship decision.
Greaves, a three-time World Champion has given the PDC a real crack this season and at one point led all of the secondary tours. Only really the Challenge Tour that has faltered slightly.
But going into the next part of the season and given that some on the Development Tour who are high up are already on the tour, she could be a full time Tour Card holder from next year.
"I would yeah, I would be stupid not to. You never know when you're going to get that chance again. So I would think I would take it, give it a good two years. In hindsight if I don't get one I'm still able to play absolutely everything so it's a win win," said Greaves to Online Darts.
"I want to have that next part of my game, I have been quite stuck at a level for quite a while so I think getting a Tour Card might push me. I missed Germany for the Challenge Tour which I shouldn't have done looking back but it's life. It gets in the way. The Dev Tour I think I'm still top but just so they are going to be some tight weekends."

Ally Pally over Lakeside....at the moment

Albeit the one decision that perhaps looms large in terms of uncertainty is always defending Lakeside. With the rules stating you can't play in both, the WDF could face losing their champion.
She said though that it never gets easier and that seeing someone else lift that World title is a bit unnerving. But that the addition of more prize money for the first round which has been a factor before and also the lack of benefit to her in regards to winning Lakeside recently means she is swaying towards an Ally Pally return.
Given her status on the Women's Series, it is likely she would get a spot through that route for sure with the others less cut and dry. But also she leaves the choice open and said that she could decide the other way in the next few months.
"I'm like a broken record constantly saying I don't know or I don't know what to choose. It's a tough decision. But I will say the last two times I've won at Lakeside, they haven't really benefited me in any way.
"They have but they haven't as much as it would if I won a game at Ally Pally. It's two completely different things. If I look back I think it maybe hasn't done me as much as I thought it would but obviously to me I don't care about what anyone else says I wanted the World titles and I got them."
"I've got three now. It all comes back to how much confidence I've got if I want to try and give Ally Pally another go. At the minute I'm leaning towards it because the WDF hasn't got the comps to be playing in there. I have been playing all PDC and loving it. But saying all that I could get to the decision and choose Lakeside so it really just depends."
"I want to be a top player I want to at least try to be. I think I'd be a fool not to push myself to the next level. I think it's just the anxiety which holds me back."

She has also tasted ProTour life this year through the Challenge Tour but has said that the times she has snubbed the call-up has been down to circumstances and that she is still doing it on her own terms. Despite admitting she should perhaps give herself more of an opportunity.
"I haven't played perhaps as much as I should've done but it's just preference. I'm playing quite a bit and I try and balance it well. I should push myself a bit more and I don't and that's on me no-one else."
"They just end up being at bad times. I'm away and then I get called up and I haven't booked on to stay. I think would I play or rather go home and I always think I'd rather go home. Not having a Tour Card I don't really have the need to build the money up and win the games so it's a bit different for me than it is for other players. They're nice to play when I get the chance and I want to."
Struggling with dartitis in the past and opening up about her struggles recently with anxiety leading to issues on the ProTour, she said it's an ongoing battle.
"It's probably a bit lower than it should be but I seem to be playing well but not feeling good when I'm playing. I think obviously I've been struggling recently but not crazy amounts. I'm very used to that though, I can deal with it really well. It's a bit like Nathan (Aspinall).
"He obviously struggles and I think we both sort of do the same thing and try to get on with it. But you're still trying to play at a high level at the same time. That's when it gets a bit tough. Sometimes I play great and I come off and feel terrible."

Sherrock and being invited to exhibitions

She spoke in this interview at the MDA/MODUS Armageddon event in Leicester and faced Fallon Sherrock on the stage.
Greaves admitted to slightly having imposter syndrome about it saying that despite being a perennial winner, she sometimes doesn't think she deserves it.
"It's nice just to play on the stage. We play a lot on the floor and it's not the same. It's nice to have a bit of fun and a bit of freedom to play. I think we both respect each other as we're fairly decent. It's what you want to see from the ladies. I think we both want more for the ladies."
"I go up and down in confidence all the time but nights like this, it's just nice to take the edge off a little bit and play with freedom and relax. Also to play someone like Fallon will help me ten fold. Even though I've won so much I feel like I'm not good enough, as stupid as it sounds. It's a strange one."
