Joe Cullen is the final player through pre-Christmas to the third round where he will play Damon Heta at the PDC World Darts Championship.
Cullen saw off Ricky Evans in a 3-1 sets win in a high scoring tie and spoke afterwards on the schedule and also believing that he was the better player throughout.
"I was happy with the schedule, it's a long wait and I think the tournament's already halfway through but I'll be honest, I was a little bit nervous but nerves are a good thing.
"Young players coming through see nerves as a bad thing and it's not, you can play on nerves and the fear of losing, that's elite sport.
"You don't want to play last and lose last. I think I was a worthy winner tonight. I thought I was the more comfortable player especially the first two sets, I thought Ricky didn't get going at all but he's one of those, he throws so quick that he relies on his first dart and it's hard to recover if it's not going. I think that's evident in the first two sets."
"I think he found his game in the last two sets but I think if he would have won that he'd have pinched it rather than won it."
