This coming weekend, the 2025 season of the PDC
Women's Series gets underway and
Noa-Lynn van Leuven will be among the players in action. The Dutch star had taken a break after experiencing a disappointing
Q-School entry last month.
Van Leuven was in the spotlight last year after Aileen de Graaf and Anca Zijlstra quit the Dutch women's team because they no longer wanted to be on a team with a transgender. Despite all the perils, Van Leuven qualified for the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship via the Women's Series. In London, Van Leuven lost in the first round to Kevin Doets.
"After Q-School, I decided to focus on my mental health in the coming time," AD previously quoted Van Leuven. "The past year was tough and intense, and I notice that I need to recharge now. But to make it clear: I'm not quitting darts. This is a conscious step back to come back stronger than ever later."
So that moment is coming next weekend. "I’m not 100% sure if I’m excited or a bit hesitant, but I’m switching gears and planning to rediscover the fun in the game," she says on her official Instagram account. "First up: an early Friday flight to London for something exciting, then a 3-hour journey by public transport to Leicester. Ready for a weekend of change and challenges. Game on!"
