Josh Rock has claimed victory in the tenth Players Championship event of the 2025 PDC season. The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland triumphed in the final in Leicester on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Scottish star Cameron Menzies 8-4.
This marks the fourth Players Championship title of Rock's career. Last year, he also secured a European Tour title by winning the Dutch Darts Championship. Reflecting on his first tournament win of the year, Rock expressed satisfaction but emphasized his focus on delivering strong performances in the upcoming majors as he still searches for that first tournament win on the big stage.
"It feels absolutely fantastic. I'm racking them up PDC titles. It's my fifth on the PDC Tour," Rock reflected with a smile in a post-match interview with PDC.tv following his win over Menzies in the final. "But I still want to prove it at the majors."
"There's a lot to tick off the list. Being a seed doesn't mean anything, it's whoever you play in front of you," Rock continues, citing the recent announcement of more prize money than ever before across the PDC Tour in 2026, as the perfect impetus for him to kick on to another level. "The game of darts has gone through the roof. I'm not here for money, I'm here to win titles."
En route to the final at Players Championship 10, Rock impressed with wins over the likes of players such as Dom Taylor (6-2), Ricardo Pietreczko (6-1), Martin Schindler (6-1) and Scott Williams (7-5), notably hitting an incredible average of 110.34 against Schindler. "It was probably my scoring right throughout the day," Rock assesses of his performance in Leicester. "I felt like I had important checkouts at the right times. When it comes to three darts for a checkout, I've been hitting the ton-plus checkouts, thankfully."
