Ritchie Edhouse heads into his final group game at the Grand Slam of Darts with the chance still to qualify for the Last 16 after seeing off Lisa Ashton in a game he was relieved to win through due to the crowd support 'The Lancashire Rose' gets.
"I knew the crowd was going to be there, I just tried my hardest to block it out but they were lovely. The run-up to this barring the qualifier, I've not played well. The qualifier I played really well so it's a freebie let's see what happens," said Edhouse
Speaking about the qualifier, he believes on current form that he doesn't deserve to be in the tournament but hopes it can kickstart his season and head towards the World Championship spots.
"I've had brilliant moments and not so brilliant moments. The other week in Barnsley I didn't win a game and then 4/4. In my head I don't deserve to be here with the big boys."
"I'm hoping that this weekend I can get in the top 32. With a good run, I possibly could."
