After two days of play in groups A to D at the
Grand Slam of Darts, two players are sure of a spot in the knockout phase; Raymond van Barneveld and Dirk van Duijvenbode in Double Dutch delight.
With Schindler and Cross still facing each other, Van Duijvenbode is already certain. With a win over Gawlas, he can also still secure the group win.
After seeing off Gerwyn Price, Van Barneveld with his previous win over Dave Chisnall assured himself of his spot. Price and Chisnall have yet to face each other, so they will battle it out between themselves to see who will join 'Barney' in the last sixteen.
Danny Noppert is in a good position in Group B, but is not one hundred per cent safe after two wins. He is yet to face Mensur Suljovic who is on two points like Simon Whitlock. The UK Open champion needs four legs against 'The Gentle'. While Christian Perez still has a chance but needs to win by at least two legs.
In Group C, nothing has been decided yet either, although Lisa Ashton needs a big win to go through. She still plays Joe Cullen, who, like Ritchie Edhouse, is on two points. However, Edhouse still has to play frontrunner Michael Smith. Smith can afford a narrow defeat to advance to the last 16.
