Dirk van Duijvenbode managed to win his second group game on Sunday night at the Grand Slam of Darts. 'Aubergenius' again wasn't at his best against Steve Lennon, but was lucky that his Irish opponent played even worse.
Both players threw an average of around 84. In the end, the win went 5-2 to the Dutchman, who appeared less positive in front of Viaplay's camera for his interview than after his first defeat against Gary Anderson.

''It was just super bad. I had a worse feeling about this than Saturday. I threw too fast and wanted too much,'' Van Duijvenbode began his story. ''I am also playing against someone who is actually never very good on stage. That made me a little too enthusiastic and fast. But anyway, you win and you are still in the game'', the Dutchman refers to Monday's match against Luke Humphries.
Speaking to the English press, Van Duijvenbode divulged some additional information about his shoulder injury. 'Aubergenius' said he has already spent thousands of euros to get treatment for his complaints.
''I googled it and it was up to two years. Hopefully it isn't up to two years but it is bad in my opinion Van Duijvenbode said. "I've spent between three and five thousand just on treatment."
