James Wilson is on the mend and on the way back to the top of his game.

The PDC world number 27 revealed to Live Darts back in March that he was struggling with an eye problem. Almost three months on and speaking to the same source, Wilson shared a more positive update.
"I've had some progress - I'm actually sleeping at night now," said the Huddersfield ace.
"I'm managing with the darts, 92, 94, 98 averages, they're getting there.
"I'm playing well, so I just need to get some wins under my belt again."

Big picture

The Jammy Dodger - or Lethal Biscuit - has reached the last 16 in Pro Tour and European Tour events thus far. But a deep run into any tournament has been lacking for some time. Having an injury which seriously afflicted his game has not helped.
It means that the World Matchplay isn't guaranteed for him. But it's about the bigger picture for the 47-year-old. A spot at the World Championship is a more precious commodity.
"It's on me, whether my eye gets better, how I play, what I do. Hopefully I'll be there, touch wood.
"I'm really concentrating on getting my eye better, my darts back on to focus, rather than thinking about a competition. It's a long year.
"You've got to get ready for the end of it. It means so much to so many people, it's untrue," said Wilson.

Watch out for Wilson

There's plenty of time remaining for the former BDO world number one to further his PDC career - not least in 2019, with most majors yet to be played.
"I know I'll be in the Worlds. I know for a fact," deadpanned a confident Wilson.
"Whichever position I'm in, I'm in the Worlds. I'll be there.
"The thing is just getting my eye right, getting myself right, and I'll be back.
"I'm a force to be reckoned with when I'm playing well."
