Jeffrey de Zwaan reveals stream of social media abuse after World Darts Championship defeat

Jeffrey de Zwaan failed to make it to the second round at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship on Saturday night. The Dutchman couldn't hold his own against Florian Hempel and lost 3-1 in sets. Some angry gamblers decided to add salt into the wounds of the Dutchman afterwards, sending De Zwaan a stream of abuse.

The Dutchman received several messages on his Instagram. In them, De Zwaan was called rotten fish because "The Black Cobra" had lost his match, causing bettors to lose their money.

De Zwaan then decided to share some of these posts on his socials and responded to his "fan mail" in a special way. "If only these people would meet me in real life lol," he wrote with his post. "Surely I would get a lot of pleasure out of that," he wrote.
