Jenkins finishes top of Icons of Darts League Group Two ahead of Nicholson

The second Icons of Darts League group of the week has been concluded with Andy Jenkins claiming proceedings with six points overall from the day.

Jenkins claimed victories over Paul Nicholson (5-4), Arron Monk (5-2) and James Hubbard (5-3) with his only defeat coming at the hands of Diogo Portela who stopped 'Rocky' from gaining a perfect record from proceedings with a 5-2 defeat.

It is a first Group win for the former World Championship semi-finalist over the course of the three weeks he has been involved but he has been consistent throughout so could this mark a trend for the week?

Paul Nicholson has taken his tally though to 12 points for the week after his victory yesterday was backed up with two wins from four today finishing behind the winner. Arron Monk and Diogo Portela were next up with two wins and two defeats each; with the table rounded out by James Hubbard.

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
