Joe Comito has crowned himself the best player on the DPA Tour. This achievement earns him participation in the 2025 World Darts Championship, starting this December. For Comito, it will be his debut at the iconic Alexandra Palace.
This weekend the last three tournaments of the DPA season were played in Wollongong. Only since the penultimate weekend has Comito been in contention for the World Championship ticket. Of the first eleven DPA tournaments, Comito did not win one, although he did reach a final. In late July, Comito took the title at the twelfth tournament of the DPA Tour 2024.
Comito had a then had a fantastic final weekend, which began with a final place finish. He lost to James Bailey in the final of DPA Tour 13. However, Comito then managed to win DPA Tour 14 by defeating Danny Porter 6-4 in the final. The final tournament of the DPA Tour also proved a winner for 'The Waterboy'. He defeated Stuart Coburn in the final, putting Comito at the top of the DPA Tour Order of Merit.
