Joe Cullen vs Josh Rock set for final of Players Championship 17

Just two players remain at Players Championship 17 in Milton Keynes. In the final of this latest Pro Tour tournament, Joe Cullen will face off against Josh Rock.

Cullen hasn't had a great time of things on the Pro Tour of late but has really hit his form at Players Championship 17. In the early rounds, the likes of Madars Razma, Paul Krohne, Gary Anderson, Chris Landman and James Hurrell before Florian Hempel proved the obstacle to overcome in the semis. In the end, Cullen proved far too good, averaging over 101 in a 7-2 thrashing of his German opponent.

Josh Rock meanwhile has had to overcome such players as Aden Kirk, Owen Roelofs, Scott Williams, Niels Zonneveld and Cameron Menzies. In his semifinal, things were much tighter as the in form Ross Smith proved a real test. In the end though, Rock prevailed in a deciding leg 7-6 to secure a spot in the final.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
