Three-time World Champion John Part withdraws from 2021 PDC Q-School

Three-time World Champion, John Part will not be involved at PDC Q-School next week after announcing his withdrawal on social media during Wednesday afternoon.

Part was set to be part of a strong American and Canadian contingent including Danny Baggish, Matt Campbell, Leonard Gates and Larry Butler but has decided not to travel.

He revealed the reason for this was due to travel restrictions.

Strict protocols mean that overseas players must quarantine on arrival and undergo several Covid tests to get the go ahead to play and the same occurs in Canada on return.

"I’ve finally had to relent on my desire to attend Q-School with the many new travel restrictions," said Part on Twitter.

"A minimum of three weeks in hotels and several Covid tests to survive in order to play and avoid even longer away are just too much, to say nothing of the associated health risks."
