Kciuk dumps out Cross after doubling disaster, Kurz battles past compatriot Clemens

Krzysztof Kciuk has dumped out Rob Cross and will face Jonny Clayton aiming to cause more upsets as the International Darts Open in Riesa continues.

Kciuk punished a doubling disaster from Cross with the World Number 10 who was recently omitted from the Premier League not backing up his recent form with 1/10 on the doubles from 'Voltage'.

This saw 'The Thumb' breeze through in a 6-1 victory with a 92 average and 46.2% on doubles for the Polish ace.

While Nico Kurz delighted the home crowd with a 6-3 victory over compatriot, Gabriel Clemens as he joined Niko Springer in the next round finishing it off with a 12-darter.

An 87 average with five 180's and 6/18 on the doubles saw him claim victory with Dirk van Duijvenbode next up.

Dimitri van den Bergh also moved through leading 3-2 before pulling away with a 120 finish, 64 checkout and a 13-darter for the win to win through 6-2.

Van den Bergh averaged 101.4 with 66% on the doubles in a quality display from 'The Dreammaker' as he saw off Martin Lukeman who has been in good form as of late.
