The second round line-up at the
International Darts Open in Riesa is confirmed with
Simon Whitlock and
Jeff Smith moving through to face Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall respectively.
Whitlock whitewashed Dragutin Horvat in double quick time meaning only Nico Kurz and Niko Springer will play in the final day of action from a home hope point of view in Riesa.
He averaged 96 and hit 66% on the doubles with Horvat down at a 75 average with 0/2 on the doubles and only one visit over 140.
While after enduring a 35-hour ordeal to reach Riesa from Canada, Smith made his trip worthwhile seeing off Danny van Trijp.
Van Trijp fought back from 1-5 to 4-5 before Smith managed to close it out with a 74 checkout and he will now face Aspinall tomorrow.
