Scott Williams as ever is a showman but also a bit of a polarising figure with fans who were whistling him before he came onto the stage at the
German Darts Grand Prix in Munich.
But Williams post match told the crowd to keep doing it in a different tact if not a brave one to take before he faces
Josh Rock tomorrow. He said that it makes him play better if anything.
He used single five, bull in an attempt to finish off the match which nearly screwed him over against
Wessel Nijman but eventually he fell over the line to move through to Sunday.
"As you can tell, keep doing it. I don't care. It actually makes me play better so if you want me to beat Josh tomorrow you do this. I don't care you can carry on," said Williams.
He has never beaten his practice partner in a main tour match but said it'll come and he is just glad not to be flying home on Easter Sunday and encountering everything heading to a stand still.
"I've got to win at some point whether it's now or in a couple of weeks. We've had some really good games, we've had some really not so good games. I'm just really happy to be here tomorrow so I don't have to fly back on Easter weekend."
He then cupped his ears to the crowd as he received a torrent of boos from those in attendance in Munich. Always a showman and given he has now riled the crowd up it will be interesting to see whether he can use the boos and whistles to his advantage tomorrow.
Love him or hate him, Williams always produces moments worth talking about and he did so again in beating Nijman 6-4 in Munich on Saturday.
