Kenny very annoyed by Dutch opponent: "He was rattling his darts and it was doing my head in"

Nick Kenny claimed a World Championship debut win over Derk Telnekes in a 3-2 victory in a tense opening tie between the pair.

Kenny spoke afterwards and discussed the nerves and also some issues with Telnekes rattling his darts.

"I'm just so happy to win that game but to be fair he'd have liked my draw and I liked his draw. He'd expect to win, I'd expect to win," said Kenny post match.

"My practice darts was unreal. Until I went for the bull, I was hitting 180's for fun. I thought I was going to hit a couple of nine-darters but I went up on the stage, I was shaking like a leaf up there."

"He was rattling his darts and it was doing my head in. I said to Paul (Hinks), he's rattling, he said he could hear it but it doesn't matter. It's one of those."
