The PDC
European Tour began all the way back in 2012, meaning we are now in its 14th season. This past weekend at the 2025
German Darts Grand Prix in Munich, two players joined an exclusive club.
Both
Kim Huybrechts and
Mensur Suljovic had initially failed to qualify for the 2025 German Darts Grand Prix, the fourth event on this year’s European Tour. Both players were beaten in the final round of the Tour Card Holder Qualifier. However, due to the withdrawal of several top players, Huybrechts and Suljovic were handed late call-ups and traveled to Munich after all.
Their inclusion means that both Huybrechts and Suljovic have now played in at least one European Tour event in each of the competition’s 14 seasons - joining a select group of ever-presents.
Others to have achieved this feat are Peter Wright, Michael van Gerwen, Joe Cullen, Michael Smith, James Wade, and William O’Connor.
It wasn’t a particularly enjoyable weekend for Suljovic, who lost 6-5 in the opening round to Krzysztof Ratajski. Huybrechts lasted one round longer but ultimately bowed out in round two, missing match darts before falling to Van Gerwen in a deciding leg thriller 6-5 on Easter Sunday night in Munich.
