Jelle Klaasen is the first player who is through to the semi-final group in the PDC Home Tour Play-Offs after easing past Peter Wright in a 6-1 win.
Klaasen went into the match knowing that Wright in effect needed four legs to conclude the group in his favour after being top going into their tie but a 6-4 win for 'The Cobra' would potentially mean a three player tie with
Cristo Reyes.
He soon dispelled that going 5-0 up and despite Wright claiming a foothold late on it proved nothing more than a consolation with his doubling statistics being down at 1/9 and his average being 10 less than his opponent at 80.
This means that the former Lakeside World Champion concluded proceedings winning it on leg difference on four points and claiming his spot in the next round. After it looked like the current PDC World Champion would book his place.
The players who win Groups One-Four will go onto Semi-Final One on Wednesday June 3 with the winners from Groups Five-Eight set to play on Thursday June 4 before that aforementioned Championship Group.
All games will be best of 11 legs and each night’s action will commence at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
All
