For Kleermaker, he is looking forward to returning to action albeit in the online tournament and he has the buzz back.
"I am really looking forward to it. When the regular tournaments start up again, I think it will be done with the use of virtual darts. For now I am happy that I can do something again. When I wake up on Sunday I am immediately enthusiastic. The feeling: it is matchday again, I can play again. I miss that ”, said Kleermaker in an interview with AD.
For the time being in Holland though, he will have to continue practising at home as despite pubs potentially opening in June, playing darts in them may not be possible yet: “I think that is a great pity. Training in an environment with other people provides impulses, experience and contact. Of course it is nice that you can drink a beer again, but when I see a dartboard hanging, I still think: 'Damn it, I can't throw it yet.'
