Daniel Larsson will make his return to the
PDC World Darts Championship for a second year after seeing off Robert Thornton before losing to Kim Huybrechts on his debut in 2019.
"I may not have played well enough to qualify. This year went with ups and downs, but I am close to the moment that I can structurally lift my game to a higher level. Hopefully we will see this at 'Ally Pally, "said Larsson to RTLNieuws.
Larsson will face off against Steve Lennon to begin his second year at the Alexandra Palace. "Steve is a good player and has a lot of stage experience. He will therefore be the favourite in our match. But if I show my best game, I certainly have a chance to beat him. My preparation is going well and my confidence is high, so I enter the game with a good feeling. "
Should the Swede deal with Lennon, South African Devon Petersen awaits in the second round. "Devon is one of the best players of this season, so it will be a tough game. But again, if I can show my best game, I have a good chance. I have not really set a goal for this World Championship. If I get my game up a level or two, I can go far in this tournament. "
