Adrian Lewis is through to a tie with Gary Anderson this evening at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship after recovering to defeat Matt Campbell.
Campbell was seen as a major danger before the match to Lewis and showed that in parts with 'Jackpot' giving credit to the Canadian.
"He's a quality player, it doesn't seem like to me when I was up there even playing him, it didn't seem like he gave too much away. He was focused on what he was doing and nothing seemed to phase him," said Lewis post match.
"I know what I'm capable of, I mean everybody said oh you've got him, he's brilliant. What about myself, it is what is."
But the confidence is there for him and the belief is back as he aims to next take out the Flying Scotsman.
"When I walked into the practice room there within the first half an hour, I'd missed two nine-darters on double 12 and I'd missed the treble 19 twice in half an hour. I said come on Ade, this is your time."
He also returned to the news recently with his incident with Peter Wright in Minehead and he said that they have not yet spoke.
"I haven't seen him yet no, what happened, happened. I'm sure we'll talk again."
