Adrian Lewis and Danny Noppert are the final two players through to the Last 16 at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze after victories over Boris Krcmar and Madars Razma to complete Saturday's evening session.
Lewis did not play last time out and was a late withdrawal but laid down a marker on his European Tour return as he keeps his hopes alive of making it to Dortmund for the European Championship.
This after averaging close to 103 in a 6-1 rout over Krcmar which featured four 180's and 40% on the doubles from 'Jackpot'.
Krcmar drifted into the single one going for 76 in the opening leg and was royally punished as Lewis hit the target he was aiming for in double 18 for an early break.
The former held throw at 2-1 down pinning the bull off an 86 checkout but couldn't pin 108 next time on his throw and was soon down 4-1 before Jackpot sealed the deal at 6-1 with a 14-darter on double nine.
While it was clinical in a closely fought tungsten tussle to end the night for Noppert as he saw off Madars Razma in a decider 6-5 with 66% on the doubles in the end for 'The Freeze'.
He was 4-2 down against Razma but produced an impressive end with a 13-darter and a 64 finish before claiming a tense decider to move through as the Last 16 is now set.
