Slovak Darts Open Saturday afternoon Round-Up: Dobey, Searle and Gilding move through as Dutch dominate with Doets, Nijman, Noppert and Wattimena wins

The final day is starting to take shape at the Slovak Darts Open with Dutch domination as Wessel Nijman, Danny Noppert, Jermaine Wattimena, Kevin Doets moved through.

Mike de Decker, Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle and Andrew Gilding also moved through to end the session with Van Gerwen, Price and co to come later. Starting the session was Mike de Decker who took down William O'Connor 6-2, he averaged 107 in the process sealing victory over The Magpie. But at least in the early afternoon, it was Dutch domination as Kevin Doets took down Damon Heta. He broke on double eight and hit double eight as Doets led 2-0. Double three for Doets and he led 3-0.
Doets broken for 3-1 up but he broke back for 4-1. A 60 and 76 checkout for further holds to seal it. Then it was Wessel Nijman's turn who downed Benjamin Pratnemer. Early on, Nijman led. Two 180's in two legs as he broke throw with a 110 checkout and now leads 3-0 after a 75 checkout.
Pratnemer finally gets on the board with a 77 checkout for 3-1 albeit Nijman was sat on 70 ready to pounce so it could easily be 4-0. Pratnemer broke for 3-2 but Nijman was back for double 16 for 4-2. He was now aiming to go 5-2 ahead. Nijman held on double 16 after hitting a 180 and initially missing 102. Nijman hit 88 for 6-2 and moved through to the final day.

Noppert, Wattimena win through as Dobey halts Thorpe

Then it was the turn of Danny Noppert and Jermaine Wattimena to win through. Noppert took down Madars Razma. The Freeze broke throw with a 39 checkout. A 52 checkout saw Noppert go 3-0 up. Noppert missed 100 for a 4-0 lead and a 3-1 deficit as Razma hit back with a hold.
A 180 and 33 checkout to lead 4-1 for Noppert followed. Razma hit double 18 to go 4-2 down. This after Noppert missed 164 and 25 to break. Noppert held for 5-2. He missed match darts with a 57 checkout. Razma back for 19 but he missed chances. Noppert hit double 10 though sealing the win.

While Jermaine Wattimena took down Dave Chisnall in a 6-3 win. Wattimena broke for 3-1 with double 12. Chisnall broke straight back despite Wattimena hitting two 180's. He hit a 58 checkout but Wattimena after multiple attempts on both parts hit double five for 4-2. Wattimena took out 79 for 5-3 then 72 to win it as Chisnall dumped out.
Chris Dobey also halted the European Tour breakout story for Tyler Thorpe. The latter led initially. He held for 2-1 after Dobey took out 100 for 1-1. He hit double 16 for the lead.
Dobey hit double 20 to make it 2-2. Thorpe was throwing for 3-2. Dobey broke throw with a 42 checkout after Thorpe had chances to hold. Double two for Dobey to make it 4-2 as he held after Thorpe missed 114. He was two away.

A 48 checkout for Thorpe to make it 4-3. He held throw. A 56 checkout from Dobey to make it 5-3 as he goes one away from victory. Both hit 180's but Dobey held on double five to win.

Ryan Searle took down Kim Huybrechts also winning 6-3. Double six for Searle to break and he held on double 20 for 3-0. A 180 and 136 checkout for Searle to go 4-1 up.
A 70 checkout for Huybrechts to go 4-2 down. Double eight for Huybrechts to make it 4-3 but Searle broke back with a 56 checkout to make it 5-3. He sealed the win with a 87 checkout.
Andrew Gilding ended the session with victory seeing off Luke Woodhouse, the latest European Tour winner. Gilding went 2-1 up breaking throw with a 92 checkout. He held for 3-1 with a 96 checkout after hitting a 180.
But Gilding broke again hitting double six to go 4-1 up. Woodhouse broke back hitting a 111 checkout to make it 4-2. Woodhouse holds for 4-3 down on double 20. Gilding was one away though hitting double five. A 120 checkout for Gilding to seal the win. He claimed it 6-4.
